Juneau Responder of the Quarter Announced

Juneau, AK - The Alaska State Firefighters Association - Juneau Chapter (ASFA - Juneau) is pleased to announce Firefighter Ken Arnoldt as the Responder of the Quarter. Arnoldt was nominated by his peers in acknowledgment of his steadfast dedication responding to many emergency calls across the Juneau community.

Arnoldt started his volunteer career with Bay City, Oregon in 2017 and joined Capital City Fire/Rescue as a volunteer in April 2019. Whether he is on the fireground or participating in weekly drills, Arnoldt lifts up his fellow firefighters with a positive attitude, displays an admirable work ethic, and values being a part of the team. His commitment to training includes recently completing the Firefighter 1 Academy, along with 12 other volunteers.

The Responder of the Quarter program, an ASFA initiative, endeavors to call out and honor association members of distinction. These members display sound leadership principles, participate in community and volunteer events, and respond to calls.

ASFA - Juneau currently represents a diverse membership of more than 50 firefighter and emergency medical services (EMS) first responders. The association’s purpose is to serve and support Juneau firefighters through professionalism and leadership by providing additional training opportunities, advocating needs, and fostering camaraderie throughout the fire service and the Juneau community.
